🤰🏽Spray Tans While Pregnant🤰🏽

Congratulations, Mama! What an exciting time for you. Of course, if you’re expecting and want to get a spray, there are a few things you need to know. We know that this questions gets asked a lot: Can I spray while I’m pregnant? The short answer yes. BUT: No studies to show if spray tanning is or isn’t harmful (similar to getting your hair colored) it’s up to you and your doc to make that choice. The long answer: Check out the rest of this post:

First, (once you get your doctors approval) we offer more than sufficient ventilation in our studios. Second, we offer nose filters to protect you from possible inhalation for the solution. Third, we ask that you wear bottoms during your tan, also. (We always ask this, anyhow.)

We don’t believe it’s appropriate to spray in the first trimester, but once you’re past that first 12 weeks, we do ask for a doctors note that tells us that you and your doctor have discussed & agreed spray tanning is ok for you. You and your babys health is our number one priority! Otherwise, great assured, we will do everything in our power to help you feel comfortable and confident in and out of our studio!

Not comfortable spraying at all? Don’t worry – ask about our self tanners – we are happy to help coach you through how to use them properly!

Breastfeeding? Heck yes! We will ask that you wear a bra of some sort or pasties… We don’t want that beautiful bundle of joy to latch on to you and your tan! 🙂

Keep in mind, that pregnancy and nursing induces a lot of hormones. Hormones have been know to alter the end result of a spray tan, so if you have an important event coming up that you want to tan for, be sure to plan to have a trial tan done AT LEAST 2 weeks before you’d be spraying for your event to be sure that the color & longevity you want is the color & longevity you get!

This is such an amazing journey for you – if you have any questions, do not hesitate to reach out!
