Who knew there would be multiple color + clear or instant color options?? While we customize the depth color specifically for you, your desires & your skin tone, you do have the option of clear or instant color – and I’m here to explain the difference!

First of all, let’s start with the basics of “Clear vs. Instant Color”: a common misconception is that instant color means you can just go on about your business once sprayed… that’s not true. Spray tan solutions have what known as a “topical bronzer”. This bronzer is just that – topical. It will “come off” with water, or can be rubbed off if not careful. It DOES provide the instant gratification that we all love, but it doesn’t have much staying power.

The clear color option does not contain the cosmetic bronzer, which means, that yes, you do still have to be careful so as not to disturb the DHA (the active ingredient in making your skin tan) but you can go back to work, or attend meetings without folks thinking something has dramatically changed for you!

  • Instant gratification
  • Cosmetic bronzer rinses off
  • Bronzers may contain undertones that will enhance the color
  • Tan develops gradually “underneath” the bronzer
  • Rinse in 12-24 hours

  • Perfect for brides or anyone that doesn’t want to risk their tan rubbing off on clothing to sheets
  • Tan develops gradually *starts at about the 4 hour mark (post session), and continues over the next 24 hours.
  • Rinse in 12-24 hours

And, here’s a bonus: the best of both worlds!

  • Rinse in 2-4 hours, depending on your artists instructions
  • Instant gratification due to the bronzer, BUT, since you can rinse sooner, you don’t have to let the solution hang out on your skin
  • DHA still takes a 24 hours to show the full color
  • With ALL options, please refrain from soaps and lotions for the first 24 hours after your sunless session

I know that these tidbits of information have helped you to understand the different options available to you – so be sure to book your next spray tan now!
